The Twin Cities of Minnesota, under violent occupation by agents of the Trump regime, daily resist beatings, abductions, and illegal incarceration.
Temperatures in Minneapolis reached -9 degrees according to the National Weather Service.
As ICE operations expand across the country, no one in America is safe from this repression. Indivisible Newark DE organized a Rapid Response Protest in solidarity with Minnesota and with all the communities that are under siege.

RECENT THREE DAYS OF ACTION
Our thanks go out to all who responded to our calls to action against ICE in January.
ICE Out for Good!

January 11 was a National Day of Action to get “ICE Out for Good” in Memory of Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered by ICE in Minneapolis.
Thank you one and all in Newark who bundled up and braved frigid temperatures to carry homemade signs and make our voices heard, alongside 1200 similar events nation-wide.
Joined by Governor Matt Myers and State Rep. Mara Gorman, the message of the day was clear: we do not want ICE in our neighborhoods terrorizing working families and threatening the lives of our neighbors!

Turnout was estimated at upwards of 750 protesters. Read more here and here.

January 12-13, we asked you to engage your U.S. Senators and State Reps by advocating for specific anti-ICE demands that you can read about here.
A heartfelt thanks to all who attended!

Hands Off Venezuela!

On January 3rd, the Trump regime used the U.S. military to overthrow the government of Venezuela. This was a blatant attack on a sovereign nation to steal resources - in this case oil. But it was also an attack on basic standards of international law, and on the American system that limits the power of Presidents.

To learn more about this attack on Venezuela and how it violated the law and threatens our Constitution, read Sen. Bernie Sanders statement here.

Wrap-Up
Wow, what an incredible day of solidarity! We are so humbled that 6,000-7,000 people showed up to protect our democracy!

View our official chapter photos and videos here!
We are so grateful to the 50+ volunteers who helped make this event a success, and to the
organizing team for making sure all of the puzzle pieces came together.

We don't normally come right out and ask for donations, but this event was a decent financial investment (e.g., renting the stage, printing signs and flyers, supplies to create the decor). If you are able, please donate to help us recoup some of our costs. Alll donated money goes directly to our chapter.
