Call Your Reps about Moshannon Detention Center
Organizer: Indivisible Newark DE
At your convenience
Advocate for your representatives to visit Victor Acurio-Suarez in Moshannon Detention Facility.
Victor, an immigrant with significant disabilities, has been held for a year at Moshannon Valley Processing Center, where there are numerous reports of inhumane treatment (as at other ICE facilities). His request for asylum has been denied and he is at risk of violence if he is returned to Ecuador.
Call or write our Senators Chris Coons and Lisa Blunt-Rochester and Representative Sarah McBride and ask them to visit these centers and report what they find.

Hello, my name is ____________, and I live in ____________ (town/zip code).
I’m calling today about Victor Acurio Suarez, a Delaware resident who has been in ICE Detention in the Moshannon facility since last September. His request for asylum has been denied, and he has been ordered back to Ecuador.
Without asylum, Victor will have to return to Ecuador, which is a death sentence for him. Because of his disabilities, he has been the victim of gang violence. And as you know, at many ICE facilities, there are increasing reports of squalid conditions, denial of medical care, racial harassment, inedible food, and unclean water.
I’m asking that the Senator/Representatiave help Victor by visiting him at Moshannon. He deserves your support. As voters prepare for the upcoming midterm elections, we need to see our elected officials take a clear stand against ICE prisons. After visiting Moshannon, please report your findings publicly, and tell voters what you are doing to ensure humane treatment for those who have been detained. Please also work toward releasing the more than 70% of detainees nationwide who have no criminal record.
